The Class of 2020 has had special opportunities to learn stamina, resilience, the the power of thinking “outside the box” as the COVID-19 pandemic has greatly changed the end of their senior year.
A pair of seniors, Ashlee Harmeyer and Alexis Miller, had a drive thru graduation party Saturday.
There were pictures and decorations, but the usual graduation slide show was a drive-up movie. No one needed to leave their car, noted Ashlee’s mother Tisha. “As with all COVID events, this was unpredictable and the time was changed a couple of times, but I’m proud of the girls for making the best of an unusual situation. They worked very hard to make this a great party,” Tisha said.
